Vortex Mobile Domes

Vortex hits the road with exclusive mobile dome venues featuring surround sound and interactive fulldome video projections.  Mobile dome venues are perfect for outdoor events and festivals and are scalable to accommodate any size event.  The systems are available for lease and come with a full complement of lighting, display, control and media management systems. We offer two varieties of the mobile immersive projection venues:

Inflatable Projection Dome Venues: The inflatable dome structure is available in a durable, fire-rated translucent material which allows for seamless full 360 projections to be viewed from both the inside and outside. The dome venues can immerse hundreds to thousands of people in an exciting surround media experience. Custom programming is available from VIM to provide a unique branded experience for your corporate event, product launch, musical performance or gala banquet.  The new 360 inflatable dome projection venue is available worldwide for special events and launches of any kind.

Geodesic Projection Dome Venues: Vortex offers a range of Geodesic projection dome venues from 36' diameter up to 120' diameter. These domes feature an internal "negative pressure" projection screen that allows for seamless interior immersive projection. The geodesic dome structures are slightly less mobile than the inflatable dome variety in that they take a bit longer to install but are more adaptable for longer term installations. The larger 120' dome has over 11,000 square feet of interior floor space and can accommodate thousands of people.

The geodesic projection domes come with a range of options from printed exterior skins to lighting and exterior projection packages. Fully able to be permitted as a temporary structure in any major municipality, the domes are highly versatile with the ability to be set up on a variety of surfaces and a wide range of climates.
